A little about teamwork

Às vezes a gente quer que as coisas sejam feitas o mais rápido possível. De vez em quando dá certo, mas quando falamos de pesquisa é diferente.

Sometimes we just want things done as soon as possible. Sometimes it goes well, but when we talk about a search it's different.

Qualquer pesquisa bem feita vai exigir umas boas horas de preparação, laboratório, leitura e literatura e daí surgem grandes artigos acadêmicos ou posts em blogs.

Any search well done will require some hours of preparation, lab, reading and literature and then big articles will come out or even posts in blogs.

Antes eu ficava chateada quando alguns blogs ou canais de Youtube demoravam de atualizar suas postagens, mas aí eu parei para observar que o que me prendia era justamente a qualidade da leitura, o material que o autor juntou e todas as pessoas envolvidas no processo.

Before, I used to get sad when some blogs or Youtube channels delayed a lot to actualize their posts, but then I started to observe that the thing that used to grab my attention was exactly the quality of the texts, the material that the author gathered and all people involved during the process.

Para falar de trabalho em equipe precisaria de um mega artigo. Minha dica pra hoje é: respeite e supere as diferenças dentro de um grupo para torná-lo uma equipe.

To talk about teamwork, I'd need a big article. My today's tip is: respect and overcome the differences inside a group to make it a team.

Hoje faço parte de um grupo de pesquisa e como diz meu orientador: "os jovens de hoje querem as coisas feitas para ontem". Eu sei que é difícil e existe aquela angústia de que logo seremos adultos, mas me esforço para mostrar que também sei ter paciência para fazer as coisas. 

Today, I'm a part of a research team and as my leader says: "the younger today wants things done for yesterday". I know that it's hard and there is that anguish that we will be soon an adults, but I work hard to show that I also know how to have patience to do things.
